
Marthanda J. Beckworth earned a B.A., with honors, from Northeastern Oklahoma State University and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Tulsa College of Law. While in law school she was an Ungerman Scholar, she was named to the Order of the Curule Chair and the Tulsa Law Journal, and she was recipient of the Travis I. Milsten Award for Decedent’s Estates and Trusts. She is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Tulsa College of Law. She was admitted to the bar in Oklahoma in 1983 and served for six years as Law Clerk of Judge William W. Means at the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. Ms. Beckworth practices in the areas of civil rights and employment law as well as medical and legal malpractice defense, with an emphasis on appellate advocacy.
